new year...the chinese version

oh geri's back :)

hm...did you all have a fabulous new year?
well, i wouldn't say mine was fabulous, it was okay lah..we left at what time hm...er..i think we left on a saturday and yup that was on the eve ...the roads were jammed as usual (no surprises there huh) and i think i made good use of my time to go sleep haha...

usually every year i dread the holidays..somehow...i don't fully enjoy myself cuz i think i happen to be the second eldest one among all my cousins so thats why i kinda feel left out and not to mention, really bored too..at my grandparents house there is no computer, no astro, nothing..so i have to bring my own entertainment which are usually in the form of books and magazines...but hey, i can't very well sit in one spot and read books all day long can i? would seem a bit rude too..

so in order to feel more at home i brought my newest darling...hehe...i also brought a pillow cuz i dont like the pillows at my grandparents house...so can u imagine, me, a 20-year old carrying a pillow and a soft toy into the car? my dad also shake his head...perhaps i am still a little girl after all...honestly, if i could, i would bring my comforter as well!when we arrived at my granparents house, i was sneaking in quietly cuz i dont want people to see me carrying those two, shy-lah! but all that was worth it cuz i had a good nights sleep hehe...

anyway, so you know lah it being the eve and all...so we will have the traditional dinner and so we went to this restaurant to have it...woah, it was packed, i think everyone decided that cooking was too troublesome, and frankly speaking, the washing up will be a nightmare (this i know, cuz i wash the dishes at home) anyway, so dinner started around 7.30 pm like that ...and i tell you i really admire those people at the restaurant..they served us as though it was an assembly line, the food, as soon as the one on the table is finished, out comes another one, and this is repeated about 8 times.yup, 8 course meal.. oh gosh i was so damn full towards the end ..that bowl is the bowl i used for dinner..haha..but the food was good, that is without a doubt...we occupied two tables, and i purposely sat far away from this kepoh auntie..she ah, i think she is nice but i feel that she can ask too much questions...perhaps its normal cuz she's a lawyer *rolls eyes* its second nature already lol

soooooooooooooooooo...............back to that little problem concerning boredom..frankly this time round it was not so bad...somehow time pass by quicker and before you know it, its already the next day..but perhaps time passes when you are having fun or so that is what they say..you see, i have young cousins so we don't gamble but hey hey hey...guess what..monopoly saved the day...really! one game can go on for hours, so before u know it, time has come and gone...i have a cousin who is in form 4 now and he was really terrible cuz he literally made me bakrupt....he bought parklane and he had a HOTEL there so you can imagine how on earth i was going to pay back my debt after landing on his "property" lol... u see that is what he left me with...ONE dollar and ONE deed. thats it. needless to say, i lost.but the second time round my brother kicked his ass..haha...

i have a little cousin and i think he is really adorable..he has the rosiest cheeks i have ever seen and he is an extrovert, unlike his elder brother...rather intelligent for a kid his age, after all, he is only 5 years old...but i suppose kids nowadays are quite smart , they get smarter and smarter...sometimes he can be a bit too much also , his words can be rather insulting in the sense that he is very frank about things.but that is the beauty of little kids isn't it, they say things with sincerity, without any sort of intention to hurt you...we were trigger happy one of those days, i taught him how to use his fathers camera phone and he went beserk i think..he took pictures of everyone!lol...i think his dad had to go erase whatever pictures that were stored in the phone after that...frankly there were pictures of everyone in all sorts of angles, even right down to their posterior!

anyway there was this thing that happened though...we were all at pizza hut and directly behind us, a young girl started to cry, and i mean, cry out really loudly...so my cousin sister who is a year younger then i am went and said "ah...shaddap lah!" but it was not directly to the little girl..and then the mother of that little girl just glared at my cousin sisters back (cuz they were sitting back to back ) and glared at her really long and hard...i also feeling nervous there already..then u knw what happened? that woman started to speak to her elder daughter in a loud voice and gave her a lecture on morality and the long lost values that is "not evident in the young people of today" . hm..she can go screw herself lah, really..when your child throw tantrums like that, it is up to the parent to control , isn't it..if she had any sense she would know that whatever the child does will be reflected back on her...so her child can scream and shout and wail and cry and everyone else who is around her is supposed to just tolerate it huh?well, i don't think so..i think that she will make sure her children are better behaved from now on lol

happy new year all!
