geri and MIN's day out

ladies and gentleman, presenting to you my handsome best friend, min.

it isnt easy to take pictures with this fella though, mostly due to the fact we hardly get to see each other as he is currently studying in UK. min is mixed just like me, he's got phillipino+kadazan+chinese blood and i think that is why he looks like this..hehe..(eh, i meant that in a good way). its funny how both my best friends are of mix origins, sam is nepali+indian and as for me i am bidayuh+chinese.

this guy so kindly bought me lunch at ms read in one u.

min: hey can we go eat something not fattening?
geri: oh yeah, you're on a diet. let's go to ms read cuz i feel like drinking a chocolate milkshake hehe *grins evilly*

min: can i have the caesar's salad and a diet coke please
geri: i'll have the thai beef salad and a chocolate milkshake

gosh he sounds so much like a girl its scary and i am questioning his sexuality.

so min orders a caesar's salad and i ordered a thai salad. hah.i ordered salad cuz i didnt want to be seen eating more than him, already he is teasing me about my size. grr.

his salad looked EXTREMELY fattening and i was silently laughing at him when they brought his meal. the portions were HUGE huge huge huge huge huge. i couldn't finish my salad, i in particular didn't quite like it cuz there were WAY too much onions
*note to self: THAI salad, ergo go figure

being the self proclaimed sweet boy he is we went out to look for a present for a friend of his and i dragged him to perlini's silver.

min: oh i am more than willing to buy something from there provided you pay more than half for it
geri: look, you don' have to buy anything from there isnt it, you are just looking around.its an ITT.
(both of us studied contract law so ITT means Invitation To Treat, in layman's words, looking at something that is being displayed does not mean you are bound by contract to buy the said item)
min: *looks flabbergasted* what the heck is an ITT?!
geri: oh gosh, dont tell me you dont know. its an invitation to treat, silly
min: oh right, right. what was the case again? Boots, right?
geri: uh huh, fisher v bell , pattridge v crittenden too..
min: ooo ooh.. carlill v carbolic smokeball company! oh, no that one can't really be applied in this case now can it, its a unilateral contract..

i realised suddenly that he and i were both talking about CONTRACT LAW cases in ONE UTAMA.

oh.my.god.

geri: STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP! what if there are PEOPLE listening to us?!

we shall never speak about it again.

seventeen party

a few months back i got a msg from joycey
joycey: sis! faster type in *code* to *number*

so i, also kecoh la..send..

joycey: after you send, they will msg you back with two free passes to a party at sunway lagoon..you will get an immediate reply

even more kecoh la now.. -_-'

so after i send the msg..i waited..

and waited

and waited summore..

feeling tensed, i msged to the number, again..

so i kept on waiting

and waiting

and waiting..

BLOODY HELL

i got tired of slumming around waiting for the ever so elusive passes and totally forgot about them til the next day..there were both good news and the bad news..
good news was that i got 4 passes to the party, because each msg allows for two people to get in
bad news was the first sentence of the msg.
THIS MESSAGE COSTS RM 2

WHAT??!!
i had just spent 4 ringgit on passes..
*if one would think about it, 4 ringgit is not really a big deal since i got a goodie bag and all that but it is a big deal to me since i am always and forever running out of credit

luckily i had enough credit to sustain me after that..ugh.. *groan*

we had class that day, so i asked joycey
geri: weih? i got the passes already..you didnt tell me the msg costs 2 ringgt each hah?
joycey: oh,yeah, the msgs costs 2 ringgit each :D
geri: right..thanks for letting me know AFTER i sent out the msgs -_-'

both of us were feeling giddy with anticipation, cuz after we managed to persuade the other girls to get the passes, we had altogether a total of 10 passes between us..so we'd thought, cool, this is something we all can do together once exams are over..yay!

well one thing both of us came to realise is that NOTHING ever goes according to plan. nothing!
so, due to clashing schedules, transportation problems, sore gums, high fever AND neighbourly duties, turns out that only 3 were free for that saturday..gosh, imagine how it was originally planned that we were supposed to go as one huge group?

joycey tried to call one of her friends along, as well, but all were busy..so its ok, i mean, all three of us friends isn't it, whats wrong with hanging out in an odd group of three?
ODD, that is what it is.
ODD.

cuz all i could think of was that there will for sure be one person who will feel a bit left out isn't it? or perhaps i have been hanging out in groups of even numbered people for waaaaaayyyy too long..

no matter.
the show must go on!

so i thought that you know, since i am a big girl aready, with a car, i should at least drive to sunway lagoon myself since i have driven there before..but as i thought about it, i became worried that i'll get lost and stuck somewhere and i dunno how to find my way home! what a huge baby.. grr

so the night before i was talking to yoki and i told him that i might lose my way to sunway lagoon..then i can't quite remember the conversation but then suddenly i ended up agreeing to get a lift from him..
aww so sweet.. *smiles sweetly*

joycey was late! around 930 the next morning, she msged me and told me that she was still in malacca..so how to meet up by 12 as originally planned?

looks like i had something to do cuz the moment i got into yoki's car he told me that joycey asked him to ask me to buy sunblock lotion..uh..
*when i read that part again i got dizzy..ugh..confusing sial

geri: ha, which type did she want?
yoki: got different types meh?
geri: yeah! there is spf 30, spf 50..
yoki: ok, so spf 50 la..its the highest protection right?
geri: water proof?

the conversation was interrupted when joycey called to remind me about buying the sunblock

geri: eh, what type you want? you want to be a bit darker after that or u still want to look the same?
joycey: LOOK THE SAME LAH!

yoki couldn't stop laughing. grr..

luckily i didnt drive to sunway, thank my lucky stars..yoki and i had to drive round and round that area a couple of times before finally figuring out where the entrance to the carpark was..-_-'

that area is seriously congested, what with all the construction work going on..

at watson's, we were staring at two tubes of sunblock..
geri: spf 50 or spf 30?
yoki: spf 50
geri: waterproof or sweat proof?
yoki: water proof

its so easy for guys, you just give them a choice and its so fast and quick at the way they make their decisions..*envy*

thanks to joycey's brilliant idea of buying a water proof camera, now there are many nice pictures taken while we were lazing about in the pool.. oh yeah, and we didnt really pay attention to what was going on at the stage because frankly speaking, we weren't too bothered and we had more fun just sitting there and splashing water at each other like a bunch of really immature kids..

we even went on the nice big slide, twice..its super fast i tell you, and my butt hurt so badly after that *winces*

somehow this picture looks really good even though its a bit hazy and all that but what the heck..its not taken with a super sophisticated camera anyways! it was taken with a disposable, waterproof camera whose functions are so damn basic...i love it!

this picture looks as if the three of us have heavy butts..attempted to float, but alas, tak jadi..

till today i still dont know what these mushroom-waterfall thingys are called, the ones that have a water curtain around the sides of the erm.."mushroom"..but joycey loved to go play with it hehe..
*like small kid liddat* lol

yoki and i..he never smiles, trying to maintain macho i guess *pukes* :D

two girls, a guy and a tube.. spoil the picture only! grr

3 monkeys on a rock :D

it was cold, thats why we are so close to each other ;p

joycey: come lets go dance! nah take picture! *hands the camera over to yoki*
yoki: sure its an ugly picture cuz the both of you are moving haha

hmph..it turned out perfectly!

finally managed to take a picture at the stage after everything was over.. it was our last shot cuz the camera only had 27 shots in it, so we had to be a bit stingy and not take as much pictures as we would like to..
we had a great time, eventhough all we did was just sit in the pool and look at other people and take pictures and splash water and all that..

it was a very good day :D, yes indeedy!

yay! who wants to go there again?

geri and sam's day out

we should take pictures more often

sometimes the blur ones are the best

or candid shots will do fine too

whatever it is, beauty shines from within~

of bedrooms and bathrooms

it is somehow rather impossible for the whole family to go away on a trip together cuz of clashing schedules as previously my brother was involved with fencing and he had training almost every single day of the holidays..so now that he is no longer representing the state mom decided it was time for everyone to go to a beachy (eh not bitchy ya dnt think wrong thing) place to relax and unwind..

so where did we go to?

PENANG!

after all i was born there (oo surprise surprise to those of you who didn't know that) and we stayed at Parkroyal hotel..i loved the hotel. my mom told me that they usually refurbish and redecorate the place every few years so this time round it was newly done and to my delight..it was painted in white with ORANGE accents.
ORANGE!
the most glorious colour ever! hehe..good start..we had a family room and it had a king sized bed and a queen sized bed so it was pretty comfortable at night..usually my brother will sleep on the floor but this time he is lucky >_<

you can be damn sure i had a beautiful nights sleep..
even the bathroom looked cool..

when i came back from my holiday i was telling yoki how nice the rooms were, and that it was painted in orange..
yoki: huh? orange..sure not nice wan
geri: no its really really nice! i want that colour in my room too
yoki: you want to get headache is it? O_o
geri: no lah i show you the pic.. *sends file*
geri: so how? nice or not?

yoki: mm..ok lah..lots of shampoos by the way? :D
geri: i show you a picture of a nice bathroom but you only notice the shampoos.. -_-'

anyways, enough of bedrooms and bathrooms..we came to penang not to look at those two, mind you (lest you think we have nothing better to do) so we headed down to the pool..i was pretty disappointed though, the last time we came here, they had huge landscaped pools wth a few mini jacuzzis..now its all gone! now there are only two pools left, one is the game pool where they had a slide and a volleyball nets and the other was for you to just sit there are soak up the chlorine water (i went inside the pool once, and thereafter sunbathed under a coconut tree)

damn noisy you know,we only managed to find seats which were near the volleyball area and it was irritating cuz every once in a while we had to go pick up the stray ball that flew out of the pool..i mean,if there were really handsome guys playing, heck, i wouldn't mind, but nooooo.....it was a huge family that was occupying the pool..tough..so obviously my brother got real fed up so he decided to pretend he didnt see by putting a towel over his head..smart..real smart *rolls eyes*

as my brother and i were lazing aroundthe pool, we noticed these really big bright banana type thingamajiggys which were actually menus..pretty smart, eh?

but bloody fucking expensive,i tell you..seriously, who would spend so much money on a local delicacy? ooh..*slaps forehead* yup, those mat sallehs hanging around the pool...please, i didnt see any of them eating anything, i dont think they are that stupid either..

damn expensive i tell you..

enough already, got fed up with the outrageous prices so we headed down to the beach...i wanted to go paragliding but my ever so overprotective dad started to tell me horrifying stories

geri: dad, can i go?
dad: you really want to go? you think about it what if there is an accident?break your legs, get brusises all that how? what if you get stuck into a tree or hit the wooden fence?
geri: dont have la, if follow instructions sure will be safe wan *smiles sweetly*
dad: no no no no no
geri: ;(

so i just had to settle with playing with the waves as they come crashing in..even so, my dad still had something to say

dad: be careful of the jellyfish! remember what happened the last time!
geri: -_-'

*note: when i was very young, i was blissfully playing at the beach when suddenly a smack of jellyfish came and attacked me..so i still have the scars, as a constant reminder of how innocent fun at the beach can literally scar you for life

the beach was beautiful really..it just went on forever, and the water was so clear and blue..i was imagining how it would be like if suddenly a tsunami occured again?that would be so cool! *eyes glinting*

went on a boat ride and got to see many things you dont usually see on the beach..we passed by this fisherman, who was a pakcik and he was really really tanned..imeagine, we go on a boat ride for a cruise but he goes on a boat ride everyday to deliver fish..what a total contrast of two different worlds..somehow as i took in the sights of the great big sea all my problems seemed to melt away as its magnitude is nowhere near the magnitude of the sea...

footprints..they disappear just as the tide comes in..how..temporary..

it was a fantastic holiday, can't wait to go back there again :D

holiday! woohooooooooo

YAY!

its the HOLIDAYS!

after one whole month of looking at BOOKS, BOOKS and MORE BOOKS..

i'm finally free! *rubs hands gleefully*

after our exam joycey n i decided that we had to go out..somewhere..anywhere.. (but not at times square, sungei wang..damn sick and tired of those places, seriously) basically we thought of hanging out with the whole gang but these people all never plan properly so ended up ony joycey n i going out to one u after that..

damn hungry la weih, we got up so early, sat for a horrible 3 hours paper and we couldn't decide where we wanted to eat..

joycey: so where you wanna eat?
geri: dunno, where do you wanna eat?
joycey: not sure, what you feel like eating?
geri: anything-lah,damn hungry laaa
joycey: me also,but eat what?
*silence as both of us started to think*
joycey: so where you wanna eat?

back to square one. -_-'

so in the end,we went to Char Chan Teng, AGAIN.
and still we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat.

joycey: so what you wanna eat?
geri: not sure, damn hungry, eat everything lah!

so we both ordered the same thing

eggs in steaming milk and some fried spaghetti..
like as though there weren't any other food on the menu liddat -_-'
nvm,it was easier to split the bill anyways :D

halfway thru lunch joycey n i being the bitches that we are, started to criticise all the couples that walk in through the door..funny observation though, there seems to be more oddly matching couples than there are the even matching ones..like some god forsaken guy can appear with a really hot chick on his arm, and vice versa..WTF its not fair,it isn't even funny! as we were halfway through our meal there was this couple that sat two tables away from us and both of us had to practice a huge amount of self control in order to prevent us from laughing out loud..sorry you two,but we just couldn't help ourselves..they were so young..seriously..they looked really young and we were wondering since when do really young looking people go on dates anyway? gosh,i sound so old fashioned..

joycey: eh..small kid also can go out ha?
geri: want to hold hand also shy..ish
joycey: geli sial
geri: eeee... >_<

being typical girls, we had to go into forever 21 which just recently opened in the new wing of One U. crazy la really, there were so many girls inside there that MNG (which is next to it) was practically empty..how fickle girls are.. anyway, joycey n i spent ONE hour there. yup. 60 minutes in forever 21. doing what? trying on clothes.. huh before you think we need therapy, i would like to inform you that the line to the dressing room was so DAMN LONG and we were only allowed abt 4 items in at one time,so there were obviously people who wanted to try on more than 4 items so they kept on lining up again and again and again....

so we were there lining up and i noticed this cute little girl sitting in one corner, holding on for dear life to a huge pile of clothes..clothes that her MOM and TWO SISTERS were chucking onto her..the eldest sister went into the dressing room like 3 or 4 times, and that bloody place was not even having a sale on, fyi.

somehow i didnt like her cuz she looked snotty and had that "i know i look good please dont even think about breathing my air" look on her face..huh..so joycey went off to pay for her top, while i looked at the belts which were near the cashier..do you know that altogether, the mother of those 3 had to pay about nearly 4k on all those clothes that they were randomly picking out?
4k
four thousand ringgit

FOUR THOUSAND RINGGIT WORTH OF CLOTHES

THATS A LOT OF MONEY

ugh..jealous nye...imagine,nearly 4000 ringgit worth of clothes from forever 21..thats a hell load of clothes!

i want to spend 4k on clothes too *pouts*
